Social Media
Weâve constructed one of the most robust centers for social media strategy in all of higher education.
Social Intelligence
Social media experts across campus come together in NC State’s Social Media Strategy Hub: a collaborative, analytically driven workspace â housed in University Communications and Marketing â where good ideas compound and great social content thrives.
We thoughtfully leverage social platforms to strengthen NC Stateâs brand and tell the Wolfpackâs stories, we maintain the universityâs official social media accounts, and we empower units across campus to run their own channels more effectively.

After more than 14 years as NC Stateâs chancellor, Randy Woodson announced today that he will retire at the end of his current contract on June 30, 2025. The @unc_system will lead a search for a successor.
Chancellor Woodsonâs enduring tenure is testament to both his passion for guiding the Wolfpack and his skill in stewarding one of the nationâs leading public research universities.
âFor 14 years, Randy Woodson has perfectly captured the pragmatic brilliance of NC State,â said UNC System President Peter Hans. âLike the university he leads, Randy is sharp, good-natured, and eager to get things done for North Carolina. Itâs made him a great colleague and one of the most effective leaders in this state.â
Chancellor Woodsonâs tenure has been marked by vast improvements to NC Stateâs academic measures, research expenditures, entrepreneurial spirit, financial and facility growth, and overall reputation.
âNC State started 137 years ago, and it will continue long after you â or I â are gone,â Woodson said. âWolfpack, I cannot wait to see what you Think and Do next.â
More information about the chancellorâs legacy and the search for the next chancellor is available at transformation.ncsu.edu.
